Oh my gosh! It was awesome. I finished it days ago. Still dreaming about it at night!! It isn't so much that it's super well written. It's the story and the characters!! It's a study in how to be a good father and husband, how to be an excellent wife and, to a lesser degree how to be a good mom. These two were so devoted to each other. He was a man of rare excellence and devotion. I'd owned the book for quite some time and never got around to reading it. What an excellent read!! Yeah, I highly recommend it. Have you read any of the books on the Morse's family missionary history? And Isobel Kuhn's got lots of great ones. And then there's RJ's book. And Elisabeth Elliot is always excellent.
